about me

Pre-junior Digital Design student with a passion for designing. That’s me,  Amanda Appiarius a.k.a manda, apparatus, panda, bannana, man pan, asparagus…etc. I go to the University of Cincinnati, 15 minutes away from where I grew up, but Clifton, with it’s array of college students and residents is completely different from little old White Oak and I absolutely love it. I went to McAuley highschool and used to be a part of way too many extra curricular activities (ballet, tap, drama, singing groups, painting classes, drawing classes, writing, clubs, horse back riding…). College has dwindled that list down a little bit in order to make room for more learning. As a result of two years of college, I am well rounded in visual communication, specifically including motion, graphics, photography, and various forms of interactive design. I chose digital design over any other major because I want to provide people with an engaging vessel for experiencing the world of art and design. I have a strong interest in storyboarding, motion, and character development, which is why I decided to supplement my skills with a minor in creative writing. My steadfast determination and strong passion for creating inspire me to keep learning, problem solving and taking in what it means to be a visual communicator.
